“I have an idea that the phrase ‘weaker sex’ was coined by some woman to disarm some man she was preparing to overwhelm.”

Typically the man is blamed. But what of the woman’s culpability? Yes, he penetrated and the penetrator is assigned the lion’s share of the responsibility. Socially, at least. Criminally if it’s rape. Most women though are not passive participants in these extramarital affairs.

Three factors determine a woman’s attraction to a man: The man’s appearance, personality, and amount of power. For some women, power is the most salient factor and why “average” looking athletes and ugly looking rich men marry very attractive women.

A woman with enough bravado will pursue a man to whom she’s attracted. Unfortunately, in a typical romantic comedy, this sort of lusting is typically presented as existing within the male. The female exists to be “realized” and carried away. If she realizes herself, her hopes are usually dashed by the male who is, coincidentally, having a “I’m a huge jerk” moment.

But, let’s be honest, women pursue men just as men pursue women. Unlike the South Carolina governor, the typical powerful married man doesn’t have the time for dates and phone calls. In fact, he doesn’t have enough time to like his wife and kids. But he’s still savvy, persistent, and sexually-potent. So, when a savvy, persistent, and sexually-willing woman enters his life, they’re gonna fuck.
