Three Thoughts

Regardless of the polling data, a majority of Americans do not care that their government tortures and kills. When it comes down to it, we all favor one dead non-American over one dead American.
This is why I stopped reading George Will. He rarely produces a readable essay. Instead, he’s prone to rehash mostly forgotten right-wing memes. Also, he kinda looks like a turtle.
What’s next? A few Wal-Marts and a bailout? Seriously, why do all of our solutions only make the problems unfathomably larger? Cocaine is cheaper and yummier than ever, heroin is plentiful, and everyone and their mother smokes dope. I suppose that, as long as we’re getting paid, we don’t care much about the large scale consequences.
